Nevada DECA State Career Development Conference

Dayton High School DECA chapter continues success at State Conference. 

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe with around 225,000 members.



Skyler Hester took first place in Franchise Business Plan and Automotive Services Marketing Individual Series events.



Emma Cowee also took third place in Franchise Business Plan and seventh place in Quick Serve Restaurant Management Individual Series events.


Up next, Skyler Hester will be representing Nevada in the Franchise Business Plan event at DECA’s Virtual International Career Development Conference April 19th through May 6th, which is commonly attended by over 20,000 participants from around the world. It was to be held in Anaheim, CA this year. 


This continues the success of the Dayton High School chapter that now has:

30 International qualifiers

2 International top 20

14 State Champs

10 Second State

14 Third State

90 State top 10

2 State officer

3 Scholarships

One of two Gold Certified School-Based Enterprises in the state of Nevada.
