National Silver Medal in 2018 Scholastic Art Awards

We are pleased to announce that Mykayla Boyle from Fernley High School earned national recognition in the 2018 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards with a National Silver Medal for her photography. She was identified by panels of creative professionals as one of the most talented young artists in the nation. This year, nearly 350,000 works of art and writing were submitted. Only the top 1% were recognized at the national level.  Under the direction of Amerique Powell, art teacher at Fernley High School, Mykayla has demonstrated that she is among the most talented young artists and writers in the nation.
