Fernley High School Boys' Soccer team is off to a great start. They had 3 wins and 1 loss in their recent tournament at Lowry. In preseason, they won against Fallon and were down by 1 against Quincy when the game was called at 48 minute due to weather. They opened our regular season with a win against White Pine 3-0.
FHS says they are looking forward to a great season with many very talented, hardworking athletes on the team this year!

Fernley Intermediate First Responders' Assembly
Fernley Intermediate held another great 911 assembly honoring our first responders.
Mrs. Gillespie organized the assembly with the FIS Leadership Team.
REMSA helicopter even flew by after the assembly!
SMS National Junior Honor Society contributing to the community!
The students are making blankets to donate to Project Linus, but are also in the process of planning a project for Hurricane Harvey. The SMS chapter of National Junior Honor Society is hosting a blanket making club after school for all students Monday through Thursday who are interested in learning how to make fleece blankets and supporting kids in their local community who are involved in a crisis situation.
(Project Linus is a national initiative where blankets are collected locally and distributed to children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies or anywhere that a child might be in need of a big hug.)

Dayton High Students' Art on Exhibition!
Virginia City art Reception this past Sunday at St. Mary's Art Center. The show will be up through most of October.
