Lyon County School District Employees in Our Community

On Tuesday, September 5, there was a fatal accident on Hwy. 50 between Fernley and Silver Springs on Damon's Curve.  Two LCSD employees were in the second car behind the truck that hit the guard rail and rolled over.  These two employees were the first to arrive, to reach 911 and to connect and receive guidance from the 911 operator.  They say that unfortunately, cars were still trying to go around the accident, but as they were trying to stop the vehicles, they were also trying to assist each other in following 911's directions in getting the injured gentleman to respond.

Both say that they would hope someone would do the same for them if the situation were to happen to any of their friends, family or loved ones.  We have kept their names anonymous to respect their privacy, but we can all be proud to have them and so many other incredible people in our LCSD community.
