Morgan Bumgardner invited to National Scripps Spelling Bee

Congratulations to Morgan Bumgardner from Dayton Intermediate School.  Morgan represented Lyon County School District for the 8th grade at the State Spelling Bee on March 15th down in Las Vegas.  Morgan earned 5th place at State which qualified him for an invitation to the National Scripps Spelling Bee in National Harbor, Maryland to be held from May 26th to May 30th. Good luck, Morgan!

Dayton Intermediate Theater Returns!

Dayton Intermediate School Theater is back in session! The students performed a few plays in late January via Facebook Live for all of their fans to see and enjoy.  The plays performed were "Once Upon a Zoom" by Edith Weiss and "The Boy Who Cried Werewolf" by Daniel Guyton. Even with all the obstacles and adjustments that needed to be made, the students did a fantastic job! Way to go DIS Theater!  The DIS Theatre class is led by National Board Certified Teacher Lindsay Etter!
