YES to OSIT STEM Leader's Academy!

Yerington Elementary School was chosen to participate in the Nevada Governor's Office of Science, Innovation and Technology's "Northern Nevada STEM Leader's Academy" for the 2018-19 school year.

 

The team representing the school is comprised of Y.E.S. Principal, Mr. Blake Cooper, and four teachers - Lynn Jeka, Lissa Kellog, Tori Kneisteadt and Michelle Petersen.  They will participate in five workshops across the year geared toward learning best practices and development of a school STEM strategic plan.  They will also be working toward increasing equity, interest in and awareness of STEM and STEM careers across all grade levels.
