The following is from Pizza Factory's website:
Together, we can stop bullying. It’s an epidemic that affects all of us—the scary truth is that 1 out of every 10 students who drops out of school is bullied. This is unacceptable. At Pizza Factory, we’re committed to raising awareness to this growing problem in our communities.
Pizza Factory and its communities can make a difference. By starting the conversation in our schools and neighborhoods, we educate the victims who don’t know where to go or who to turn to when they feel like no one is listening.
Bullies don’t have an “age” — they are kids, teenagers and adults. But the effects of bully attacks, whether verbal, cyber or physical, last a lifetime.
Pizza Factory franchisees are urged to support this important cause. Across the West Coast, you’ll find us wearing “No Bully Zone” t-shirts on site and partnering up with local schools. Across the West Coast, you’ll find us wearing “No Bully Zone” t-shirts on site and partnering up with local schools. Take a look at this Merced School District video of our CEO, Mary Jane Riva, spending time with the students of Burbank Elementary and donating a “Buddy Bench,” a special friendship bench where students can spend time at recess to communicate to others that they are feeling lonely or left out.
Join the cause, in your town and workplace, and spread the word: bullying is not allowed!
