DIS Students Build Shed!

The DIS 7th and 8th grade Gifted and Talented/Acceleration class designed and built a shed to store garden tools and supplies.  They started out designing popsicle shed models and progressed to developing the blueprints and then building a 4 by 4 foot shed.  The skills of using a hand saw, hammer and power drill ranged from semi-experienced to no experience at the beginning and progressed to all students being able to saw a 2x4, hammer in framing nails and using a power drill to attach siding.
