RES Shed, Garden and Microgreens!
RES received a terrific donation of a garden shed from Outwest Buildings for their garden.
RES also received a grant from the Department of Agriculture in cooperation with Healthy Communities. The grant covers the building of garden beds. A boy scout troop of students from the school planned and built the beds as part of an eagle scout project. The grant was used for the materials of the beds, dirt, seeds, drip line and supplies. With the grant, they are also composting, recycling and growing some super grains which will be grown in classrooms and offered at lunch to the students.
The shed really helps in keeping the tools organized so all students are able to participate in their upcoming pumpkin patch.
